The Yemeni government and the United States have agreed to collaborate on restricting the reach of Houthi-affiliated media on international platforms.  This agreement follows discussions between Yemeni Information Minister Moammar Al-Eryani and US officials, including Special Envoy to Yemen Tim Lenderking.

Minister Al-Eryani requested US assistance in shutting down Houthi television channels broadcasting from Lebanon and Sana'a, as well as blocking their signals on Eutelsat satellites.  He also advocated for the removal of Houthi-affiliated pages from social media platforms, citing their role in disseminating extremist content and promoting terrorist activities.
The US recently redesignated the Iran-backed Houthis as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), a move intended to disrupt their funding and curtail their operations.
Special Envoy Lenderking concurred with Minister Al-Eryani's concerns, highlighting the Houthis' exploitation of media for recruitment and propaganda purposes.
