Yemeni activist Sahar Al-Khulani and her children have been released after more than five months of detention by the Houthi rebels. Al-Khulani announced on Wednesday her release in Sanaa.
Al-Khulani was abducted on September 10, 2024, following a raid on her home. The abduction came after she criticized the Houthis for corruption in posts on her social media accounts.
In her first video appearance since her release, observed by Barran Press, Al-Khulani confirmed that she and her children are in good health. She expressed deep gratitude to her parents and all those who showed solidarity and inquired about her well-being during her detention.
