The Hashid and Bakil tribes held a large gathering in Marib on Sunday to demonstrate their support for the Yemeni army and demand a swift military resolution against the Iran-backed Houthis.
Hundreds of tribesmen from Amran governorate convened in Marib, urging decisive action to reclaim state institutions from Houthi control, according to a Barran Press correspondent. The tribes issued a call to all Yemenis across the country to unite and join the fight, pledging their full support to the armed forces in restoring security and stability.
In a statement, the tribes declared that their patience had been exhausted and that they could no longer tolerate the current situation, which has led to a dramatic decline in living conditions and continuous violations against citizens. They urged the legitimate government and the Arab Coalition to provide increased military and logistical support to expedite a resolution, emphasizing that negotiations have failed to achieve any meaningful progress.
Several tribal leaders interviewed by Barran Press during the gathering affirmed their readiness to participate in the liberation battle and the restoration of state institutions.
