The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and France reiterated their support for a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis, under UN auspices.
The reaffirmation came during a meeting between the GCC ambassador to Yemen, Sarhan Al-Munikher, and the French ambassador to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kamon, where they discussed the latest developments in the country.
Ambassador Al-Munikher emphasized the GCC's continued support for the Presidential Leadership Council, headed by Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, in a post on X.
Discussions also covered the GCC's ongoing economic and development assistance to the Yemeni people.
Al-Munikher highlighted a new $500 million aid package from Saudi Arabia, channeled through the Saudi Program Development and Reconstruction fpr Yemen, and noted that the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development recently signed an agreement to resume funding for Yemen's development program.
