Fighting has intensified in Yemen, with clashes between government forces and the Iran-backed Houthi rebels reported in the governorates of Marib and Taiz.
According to a report by "September Net," one Yemeni soldier was killed and four others injured in Marib during operations to repel Houthi infiltration attempts. Military units successfully thwarted several such attempts, inflicting casualties and destroying Houthi weaponry. The army also reported ambushing Houthi fighters in Medghal, causing significant losses, and targeting those planting mines on the northwestern front. Further south, government forces claimed to have pushed back a Houthi infiltration in Falihah and Balaq, resulting in heavy Houthi casualties. Houthi forces responded with artillery and rocket attacks on army positions.
In Taiz, the Yemeni military announced the successful repulsion of Houthi infiltrators, forcing them to retreat with heavy losses. Houthi artillery shelling targeted army positions on the western front. The Houthis are reportedly continuing to reinforce their positions in the Kadha and Al-Houta areas.
