In commemoration of International Women's Day, the National Women's Committee Office in Marib and the Independent Yemeni Center for Strategic Studies hosted on Saturday a panel discussion highlighting the vital contributions of women to community development and their resilience amidst conflict.
The event focused on acknowledging women's achievements and addressing the persistent obstacles they face. Saada Aqaar, Director General of the National Women's Committee Office, stressed the critical need for increased female participation in planning and decision-making processes to overcome these challenges.
Panelists, including Fandah Al-Amari and Aisha Abdul Magni, addressed the devastating impact of the ongoing war on Yemeni women, while simultaneously celebrating their remarkable strength and perseverance. Arwa Al-Rammal and Bushra Al-Azab further emphasized the crucial role of civil society organizations in empowering women.
