Yemen led an emergency Arab League Council session on Wednesday to address renewed Israeli Aggreaaion in Gaza, following a request from Palestine.
Ambassador Najwa Al-Sserri, speaking on behalf of Yemen, condemned Israel's "blatant disregard" for ceasefire agreements and its violations of international law. She cited the killing and displacement of civilians, and the deprivation of basic necessities, as evidence of Israel's rejection of the Arab Peace Initiative and the Cairo Declaration, according to Yemen's Saba news agency.
The meeting, held amid reports of over 400 Palestinian fatalities and hundreds injured by Israeli airstrikes, called for immediate international intervention. Yemen urged the international community to halt the aggression, deliver humanitarian aid, and enforce Arab League resolutions.
