Journalist Mohammed Al-Salhi, head of Barran Media Foundation, stated that the Iran-backed Houthi group is concealing information about leadership casualties resulting from ongoing U.S. airstrikes, which have targeted Houthi positions for ten consecutive days.
Speaking to Al-Hadath TV on Monday, Al-Salhi indicated the Houthis are likely withholding information on leadership losses to project an image of strength to their supporters and regional allies. He noted the group's strategy of minimizing public awareness of key leadership roles, instead highlighting less significant figures.

Al-Salhi pointed out that the U.S. has also refrained from publicly disclosing specific Houthi leadership casualties, with the White House National Security Advisor only mentioning the elimination of a missile commander without naming the individual. He attributed the Houthi group's resilience to years of experience and strategic positioning.
While acknowledging the intensity of the airstrikes, Al-Salhi argued that they alone cannot eliminate the Houthi group. He highlighted that without coordinated ground operations, the strikes will primarily damage infrastructure, weapon depots, and impact some military and political leaders, but will not resolve the underlying issue.

Al-Salhi dismissed the possibility of foreign intervention, emphasizing that the responsibility lies with Yemen's internationally recognized government and its military. He urged the government to capitalize on the airstrikes by launching coordinated ground operations, particularly in strategic areas like Hodeidah, Al-Bayda, and parts of Marib, in collaboration with the Arab Coalition.
Since March 15, the U.S. has resumed airstrikes against the Houthi group, aiming to degrade their capabilities. Houthi sources report 53 fatalities and 98 injuries from these strikes, which have targeted multiple locations, including Sana'a. The group claims to have retaliated by targeting a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Red Sea, while the U.S. has announced the elimination of "senior" Houthi leaders.
