A deadly armed ambush in Al-Jawf Governorate, northeastern Yemen, resulted in the death of four Iran-backed Houthi elements, including a commander, Ahmed Jaber Malfi Al-Razami. Two others were injured in the attack, according to tribal sources speaking to Barran Press.
The ambush occurred on Monday near Al-Rawdh Police Station in Al-Khalaq District, southeast of Al-Hazm, Al-Jawf’s capital. The attackers, whose identities remain unknown, seized weapons from the Houthis before fleeing.
The Iran-backed Houthis have faced repeated incidents of resistance from local tribes in Al-Jawf, a region known for its tribal opposition to the Houthis.
