President Donald J. Trump, in a recent social media post, asserted that U.S. strikes over the past two weeks have "decimated" Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen. He claimed significant casualties among Houthi fighters and leaders, stating, "Many of their Fighters and Leaders are no longer with us."

Trump’s post, published on his social media platform, outlined a strategy of sustained and escalating military action against the Houthi group, which has been targeting commercial shipping in the Red Sea. "We hit them every day and night Harder and harder," he wrote, claiming the strikes are rapidly dismantling Houthi capabilities that threaten regional maritime security.

The president issued a stark ultimatum to the Houthi forces: "The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at U.S. ships, and we will stop shooting at you. Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran."
Trump’s comments come amidst heightened tensions in the Red Sea, where Houthi attacks have disrupted global shipping lanes. He emphasized the U.S. commitment to "Freedom of Navigation," indicating that military operations will continue until the Houthi threat is eliminated.

Since March 15, U.S. forces have launched a series of airstrikes targeting Houthi-controlled sites, described as "violent" by officials. Trump has authorized a more aggressive approach than previous administrations, with strikes expected to last for days or even weeks.
