Abdullah Al-Alimi, a member of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, voiced strong support for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on Wednesday, emphasizing that the kingdom's stability is crucial for the wider region.
In a post on X, Al-Alimi commended the Jordanian leadership, particularly King Abdullah II, for their skillful navigation of challenging circumstances while preserving Jordan's stability, security, and prosperity.
He also underscored Jordan’s “central and unwavering” role in its support for the Palestinian cause, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Earlier on Wednesday, Yemen’s internationally recognized government also issued a statement expressing its solidarity with Jordan. The Foreign Ministry condemned any attempts aimed at destabilizing the kingdom or interfering in its internal affairs, reaffirming its full support for any measures Jordan undertakes to safeguard its national security.
These expressions of support followed an announcement on Tuesday by Jordan’s intelligence agency regarding the arrest of 16 individuals accused of manufacturing missiles and drones with the intention of inciting unrest. Jordanian authorities reported the discovery of underground warehouses in Zarqa containing sophisticated equipment used for weapons production.
