The Iran-backed Houthis reported 13 casualties from U.S. airstrikes targeting military sites in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, over the past 24 hours.
In a statement Sunday, the Houthi-run Health Ministry said one person was killed and nine wounded in strikes on the Al-Nahda neighborhood. Additional raids on Bani Matar, west of Sanaa, left one dead and another injured, while a separate strike near the Majel al-Demma cemetery wounded a third individual.
U.S. warplanes conducted 23 airstrikes across Sanaa and its outskirts, hitting camps, weapons depots, and military facilities, according to Barran Press.
Since March 15, the U.S. has launched hundreds of strikes on Houthi-controlled areas, targeting command centers, arms stockpiles, and infrastructure. Houthi media claim the campaign has killed over 370 and wounded 427.
The U.S. says the operations aim to degrade Houthi capabilities as the group escalates attacks on Red Sea shipping lanes.
