Political groups in Marib, northeastern Yemen, called for unity and increased support for the military and popular resistance in their battle against the Iran-backed Houthis during a meeting on Sunday.

In a statement to Barran Press, the parties stressed the need to move beyond "narrow political differences" and consolidate efforts to address national challenges, including Marib’s political, economic, and service crises. They emphasized a unified stance to uphold state institutions and reject any attempts to impose unlawful political agendas.

Hailing Marib as a "model of stability and coexistence," the groups underscored its pivotal role in countering chaos and fragmentation. With the province facing mounting security and economic pressures, they urged active political engagement—not just passive observation—to strengthen governance and public trust.

The statement also warned of worsening living conditions due to economic decline and poor coordination among authorities. It demanded a concrete action plan to improve electricity, water, healthcare, and education, urging international organizations and local agencies to collaborate on sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes.
