Multiple explosions were reported in the skies above Hasween District in Al-Mahrah Governorate, eastern Yemen, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, following the interception of incoming attack missiles.
According to a local source speaking to Barran Press, successive explosions were heard over the Ras Fartak area along the Khisit coast within Hasween District. These explosions occurred as attack missiles, suspected to have been launched by the Iran-backed Houthi group, were intercepted.
The source indicated that the destruction of the missiles by what are believed to be U.S. Navy interceptor missiles caused multiple flashes of light in the night sky over Hasween. Despite the explosions occurring above residential areas, no casualties or material damage have been reported.
This incident occurred concurrently with ongoing U.S. airstrikes targeting Houthi positions and military infrastructure in the Yemeni governorates of Amran, Saada (north), and Taiz (southwest).

Since March 15, U.S. forces have conducted a significant number of airstrikes against Houthi-controlled sites across six provinces, including weapons caches, hideouts, command centers, and operations rooms. These strikes have reportedly resulted in over 370 fatalities and approximately 427 injuries.
