Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Vice President and Marib Governor Sultan al-Aradah asserted Wednesday that ending the Iran-backed Houthi coup and restoring state institutions is a critical national duty requiring the unified efforts of all factions.
Speaking at a meeting in Riyadh with leaders of the National Coalition of Political Parties and Components, al-Aradah underscored the need for collective action to strengthen national cohesion and support the armed forces against the Houthis, according to the official Saba News Agency. Discussions focused on national developments and strategies to unify republican and pro-government forces.

“This is a time for national alignment, not division,” al-Aradah stated, urging political actors to overcome past disputes and prioritize building a strong, united internal front to confront the challenges facing Yemen. He emphasized the urgency of prioritizing national interests and countering the Houthi’s “sectarian narrative” with a unified political, media, and public discourse.
Al-Aradah also briefed coalition leaders on the difficult national circumstances. Coalition chairman Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr commended al-Aradah’s efforts to promote national dialogue and affirmed the coalition’s commitment to creating a unified platform to end the Houthi coup and restore state authority.
