Yemeni Interior Minister Ibrahim Haidan lauded the Special Security Forces in Marib Governorate, northeastern Yemen, on Saturday, asserting that they have acted as a vital defense for the governorate and significantly hindered the aggression of the Iran-backed Houthis.
Minister Haidan's commendation came during an inspection visit to the governorate, where he was accompanied by Marib Police Chief, Major General Yahya Hamid.
According to the official Yemeni news agency SABA, the visit aimed to evaluate the preparedness of the Special Security Forces branch as part of ongoing field assessments of security performance.
During the visit, the minister conveyed his profound pride in the high level of readiness and discipline demonstrated by the forces. He emphasized that the security and stability achieved in the governorate were a direct result of the heroic sacrifices made by these personnel.
Haidan further stressed the necessity of increased security vigilance to achieve even greater successes in the future.
In a separate engagement, Minister Haidan also inspected the local branch of the Rehabilitation and Reform Authority. There, he reviewed the progress of construction projects aimed at expanding the facility and adding new infrastructure, with support from local authorities.
