A local source reported that a woman was fatally shot by armed militants belonging to the Iran-backed Houthis at a checkpoint in the "Dhi Na'im" district of al-Baydha governorate.

According to the local source, the victim, identified as the daughter of citizen Abdrabbuh Muhammad al-Haddad, was killed by Houthi gunfire in front of her own child. The incident occurred at the "Amsar" checkpoint situated in the Dhi Na'im district, in the southern part of Al-Baydha Governorate, while the woman and her son were passengers on a public bus.

The source further detailed that the deceased was traveling with her son on a bus to obtain a domestic gas cylinder. Their journey was interrupted when Houthi elements at the "Amsar" checkpoint stopped their vehicle. This checkpoint had reportedly already halted several other cars before the Houthi militants inexplicably opened fire on the stationary vehicles. The reasons behind this deadly act remain unclear.
