Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Friday that the Israeli Air Force successfully struck two ports in western Yemen controlled by the Houthi group, which Israel classifies as a terrorist organization. Simultaneously, the Israeli Defense Minister threatened to target what he termed "heads of terror," referring to the leadership of the Iranian-backed group.

Speaking after new airstrikes that targeted the ports of Ras Issa, Hodeidah, and Saleef, Netanyahu said,"Our pilots have successfully struck two Houthi terrorist ports again, and this is merely a continuation, with more to come. We will not stand idly by and allow the Houthis to harm us. We will strike them much harder, targeting their leadership and all infrastructure that enables their attacks.
The Houthis will pay a heavy price, and we will defend ourselves with all necessary means to protect Israel's security."

Regarding the same airstrikes, the Israeli military stated that it "struck and dismantled terrorist infrastructure sites belonging to the Houthis in the Yemeni ports of Hodeidah and Saleef." The military claimed that these ports are used for transferring weapons and represent another instance of the Houthis' systematic and cynical exploitation of civilian infrastructure to advance terrorist activities.

Concurrently, Israeli Defense Minister Katz announced that Israeli forces had attacked Houthi-controlled ports in Yemen, indicating that significant damage was inflicted, while Sana'a Airport remains destroyed.
Katz stated: "If the Houthis continue to launch missiles at the State of Israel, they will receive painful blows, and the heads of terror will also be struck. We will hunt down Abdul-Malik al-Houthi and eliminate him."

Earlier on Friday, Israeli warplanes launched intense airstrikes targeting the Houthi-controlled ports of Saleef, Hodeidah, and Ras Issa in Al-Hudaydah Governorate, western Yemen.

While media outlets affiliated with the Iranian-backed Houthi group reported that Israel attacked the ports of Hodeidah, Saleef, and Ras Issa in the coastal Al-Hudaydah Governorate, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation stated that more than 10 attacks were carried out on these ports.

On May 5th, the Israeli military conducted airstrikes on the port of Hodeidah, a day after the Houthi group launched a missile that landed near Israel's Ben Gurion Airport. The Israeli military reported at the time that approximately 20 fighter jets participated in the strikes on Yemen, dropping 50 bombs on Houthi targets.
