Marib governorate on Monday celebrated the graduation of its first-ever female class of military police recruits, alongside the 11th foundational cohort of the military police branch.
The ceremony, overseen by the governorate's Military Police leadership, saw the presence of Major General Ahmed Al-Abasi, Deputy Head of the Training Authority at the Ministry of Defense, and various commanders from military and security units. Top-performing graduates, both male and female, were recognized for their achievements.
Major General Khaled Al-Ashwal, Head of Operations at the Ministry of Defense, emphasized the critical role of training and qualification in bolstering military effectiveness. He highlighted the integration of women into the armed forces as a crucial step towards enhancing performance and meeting evolving security and military requirements.
Brigadier General Naji Munif, Commander of the Military Police branch in Marib, described the graduation of these two new cohorts, particularly the female class, as a "qualitative leap" in developing professional security personnel. He underscored that robust training is fundamental for any force capable of safeguarding the nation.
The graduates expressed immense pride in their affiliation with the military institution, affirming that their training had honed their skills and instilled discipline. They declared their readiness to undertake their national duties with determination and competence.
