Rashad Al-Alimi, head of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, announced Sunday that the economy and public services remain top priorities for his administration. Speaking in Aden, the interim capital, Al-Alimi met with officials from the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission to discuss financial reforms and state obligations, including employee salaries, essential imports, and humanitarian aid.

Al-Alimi emphasized the government's commitment to consistent salary payments and sustained services, particularly electricity, stating the humanitarian crisis has been worsened by Houthi attacks on oil facilities and shipping. He urged national forces to unite and overcome differences to restore state institutions and achieve stability.
He praised Saudi Arabia's coalition for its crucial economic and humanitarian support. Al-Alimi also revealed recent discussions with economic bodies to address the budget deficit and strengthen the national currency.

In a separate note, Al-Alimi highlighted recent security successes, including the dismantling of Houthi-linked terror cells and the foiling of their plots. He reiterated Yemen's clear stance on regional escalations, aligning with the Yemeni people's goal of restoring state institutions and overthrowing the Houthi coup.
