Houthi Sniper Kills Woman in Taiz, Militants Raid Village

A woman was killed by a Houthi sniper in the Maqbanah district of western Taiz province today, according to local sources. This incident coincides with a Houthi raid on a village in the Mawiyah district, east of the province, where militants are accused of committing severe violations against residents.


Sources told "Baran Press" that the victim, identified as Saida Mohammed Ahmed Al-Sailani, 50, was shot dead by a Houthi sniper stationed on Jabal Jareedam in the Al-Quhaifa area, part of rural western Taiz. The sources confirmed that the sniper targeted her while she was inside her home.

Separately, a Houthi force consisting of seven military vehicles raided the village of Akhraq in Al-Sharman isolated area of Mawiyah district, eastern Taiz. Local sources, speaking to the official Yemeni News Agency (SABA), accused the Iran-backed Houthi campaign of "committing gross violations against the residents."
The sources reported that several women were assaulted and subsequently taken to hospitals due to various injuries. Additionally, three citizens were arrested and taken to an unknown location by the Houthi forces.
