Marib, June 5, 2024 - Today, the Women and Children Association (WCA), with funding from the Marib Girls Foundation (MGF), launched a training course for 15 participants consisting of activists, teachers, and university students. This initiative aims to enhance women's participation in peacebuilding and conflict resolution as peace ambassadors.

The training course is part of the activities of the "Empowering for Peace" project, funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It covered general concepts related to conflicts and peacebuilding through interactive group discussions, which contributed to raising awareness about the importance of active participation as peace ambassadors in conflict resolution and creating a safe environment that promotes peacebuilding opportunities.

The course also shed light on the challenges faced by women in participating in peacebuilding processes and resolving disputes. Sa'eed Alyousefi, the Programs Director at the Marib Girls Foundation, emphasized the importance of the foundation's role in training and qualifying women to become influential members of society who serve as role models. He also emphasized the significance of training courses among women in their role in building and fostering peace within communities.
