On Sunday, June 9th, 2024, the Marib-Bayda-Sana'a road officially reopened, with vehicles passing through shortly after the announcement by member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Sultan al-Arada, at 12:00 PM.
"Barran Press" obtained exclusive photos showing the first vehicle passing through the Marib-Bayda section of the road following the reopening, along with other vehicles, including heavy trucks.
Earlier today, Governor al-Arada announced the reopening of the road, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in supporting humanitarian efforts and facilitating the reopening of roads to alleviate the suffering and risks faced by travelers using dangerous alternative routes.
He reiterated that the initiative, launched on February 22nd with the reopening of the Marib-Faradah Nehm-Sana'a road, was motivated by purely humanitarian concerns, aiming to benefit all Yemenis.
