The Yemeni Islah Party has called on its supporters to strengthen unity and resist the Houthi rebels' attempts to divide the national bloc, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and solidarity in the face of the ongoing conflict.
In a statement released on Sunday and seen by Braan Press, on June 16th, the party's Supreme Council and General Secretariat extended Eid al-Adha greetings to its members and supporters, urging them to "contribute to fostering a spirit of cooperation and mutual support, and to continue their significant national role in building bridges of communication and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and unity with all national forces."
The statement condemned the Houthis' "racist gang" for violating the human rights, dignity, and safety of Yemenis, and for exacerbating the suffering of the people. The party called for a united front to restore peace and normalcy, stating that "in the face of this oppressive group, everyone must stand as one."
The Islah Party emphasized that Eid al-Adha provides an opportunity to reflect and find joy amidst the difficult realities, highlighting the religious and social significance of the holiday.
Addressing its members directly, the party reminded them of their commitment to social responsibility, urging them to be "a source of comfort, support, and goodwill, ambassadors of kindness and social solidarity, offering assistance to all in need, to the best of their ability."
