Yemeni army forces today repelled on Wednesday a Houthi attack on their positions in the western countryside of Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, according to military sources.
Sources speaking to "Barran Press" stated that Yemeni army units thwarted an assault by the Houthi group, internationally designated as a terrorist organization, in the Black Mountain area of Al-Kadha in Al-Maafer district, west of the province.
Clashes between the army and Houthi fighters resulted in the deaths and injuries of several attackers, with the remainder fleeing the scene.
Houthi forces sporadically target army positions, residential areas, and civilian gatherings with heavy weapons and drones, to which the Yemeni army typically retaliates against the sources of fire.
