Marib Governor and member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Sultan al-Arada, led Eid al-Adha prayers on Sunday, June 16th, alongside a large crowd of citizens and prominent figures from the legislative, judicial, executive, military, and security sectors.

During his sermon, Sheikh Saleh Hussein al-Hawani emphasized the importance of national unity in the face of Yemen's challenging circumstances. He highlighted the threats facing the nation, the revolution, the republic, and national identity, pointing to the Houthi group's agenda, which he described as a tool for serving Iran and its "Supreme Leader."

Al-Hawani asserted that the Houthis, internationally recognized as a terrorist group, "do not believe in peace or the right of others to live, claiming divine right to rule. They ruthlessly plunder money and property, plunging the people into poverty, ignorance, and disease."

The sermon stressed the need for collective efforts to combat negative phenomena, sabotage, and disruptions. It urged continued support for the armed forces, security forces, and resistance fighters in defending the nation, strengthening security and stability, and exposing any suspicious activities or movements targeting social peace in Marib and liberated governorates.

The sermon also addressed the humanitarian crisis facing the Palestinian people, highlighting the harsh conditions they endure due to the ongoing Israeli aggression, targeting civilians in Gaza and occupied territories, destroying infrastructure, and perpetrating atrocities amidst widespread international neglect.

After the prayer, Governor al-Arada received greetings from Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Abdullah Abu al-Ghaith, Rima Governor al-Houri, Chief of Staff of the Yemeni Army Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, several ministry and governorate undersecretaries, judicial and local authority leaders, military and security officials, directors general of executive offices, branches of institutions, and agencies, along with a large crowd of well-wishers.

Al-Arada called for utilizing the occasion to spread joy and happiness, strengthen brotherhood among people, and reinforce social bonds.
