The Watan Development Foundation announced on Sunday, June 16th, that it has implemented a cash assistance project to alleviate the living burdens of disabled and handicapped soldiers in the Yemeni army.
According to a press release from the foundation's Executive Director, seen by Barran Press, Abdullah al-Faqi, the project targeted over 700 disabled and handicapped individuals, categorized based on the severity of their injuries. The project, funded with 50 million Yemeni riyals, distributed the funds through exchange companies to ensure easy access for beneficiaries.
Al-Faqi also revealed that this year's Eid al-Adha sacrifice project will focus on security zones in Ma'rib city, recognizing the efforts of those defending the city.
The foundation is also preparing to launch the "Eid Caravan for the Steadfast" project, which will distribute Eid sweets and juices to soldiers stationed at the frontlines.
In addition to these initiatives, al-Faqi highlighted the foundation's ongoing efforts to empower families of martyrs through two training programs. These programs aim to develop skills and professional capabilities, ultimately improving their livelihoods.
