Yemeni security authorities reported today that a 47-year-old civilian was killed by a Houthi sniper in the Markha Al-Olya district of Shabwah governorate, eastern Yemen.

The Yemeni Ministry of Interior's website stated that Saleh Ahmed Ali Al-Suri, 47, died after being targeted by Houthi snipers while he was tending his sheep in the Markha Al-Olya district, located west of Shabwah.

According to Markha Al-Olya police, Al-Suri died instantly after sustaining a gunshot wound below his right armpit. The shot was fired by Houthi snipers positioned in areas overlooking the district.
