A young child was tragically killed by flash floods in a village in the Shebam Kawkban district of Al-Mahwit governorate, northwest Yemen, on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Local sources told Barran Press that the child, identified as Saber Yahya al-Faqih, died after being swept away by floodwaters in the village of Hajr al-Qasr, located in the Al-Ahjur district of Shebam Kawkban.
The sources explained that the heavy rainfall experienced in the region caused a surge of flash floods that swept the child down a slope, resulting in his immediate death.
