A tragic car accident in Taiz Governorate, southwest Yemen, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, claimed the lives of seven people, including women and children, and injured five others.

Local sources reported that a passenger car carrying children, women, and passengers plunged off a cliff in Naqil al-Man'am, located in the "Tha al-Jnan" area of Jabal Habshi District, west of Taiz.

The accident resulted in the deaths of seven individuals, including children, women, and the driver, identified as Mohammed Saif Mahyoub al-Miliki. Five others sustained injuries, and the vehicle was destroyed.

Sources added that residents had to navigate treacherous terrain to reach the accident site and provide aid to the passengers after the car plummeted down the cliff in the rugged mountainous area of Jabal Habshi.
