The Yemeni Islah Party has condemned Israeli airstrikes on Hodeidah, stating that Yemenis "will not accept any Israeli aggression on any part of Yemeni territory" and will not abandon their fight against the Houthi militia, which they accuse of similar behavior.

In a social media post on "X" monitored by "Barran Press", Adnan al-Odaini, spokesperson for the Islah Party and deputy head of its media department, declared that "the Zionist entity, as usual, targets civilian facilities in all its attacks, thus equating itself with the Houthi militia and providing justifications for each other."

Al-Odaini emphasized that Yemenis "will continue their struggle, relying on their own will and the justice of their cause, in the face of a fascist group that has killed and displaced hundreds of thousands of Yemenis."

On Saturday, powerful explosions rocked Hodeidah following airstrikes that Houthi media claimed targeted oil storage facilities and a power station in the port, resulting in casualties. The Israeli military later confirmed its involvement, stating that its "warplanes carried out strikes on targets belonging to the Houthi regime in the Hodeidah port area in Yemen." The strikes were described as a "response to the Houthi attacks over the past months."

The airstrikes came after a drone attack in Tel Aviv on Friday, which killed one Israeli and injured 10 others. The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack, calling it "unprecedented."

The Islah Party's statement underscores the complex dynamics of the Yemeni conflict, where the fight against the Houthis is intertwined with broader regional tensions. The party's condemnation of both the Israeli strikes and the Houthi militia's actions highlights the delicate balancing act required in navigating the conflict.
