A tragic car accident in Saudi Arabia's Wadi ad-Dawasir region has claimed the lives of a Yemeni resident and his wife, while injuring four of their children and a nephew.

Local sources told "Barran Press" reported on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, that the accident involved Yaser Ali Jaber, his wife, and their four children. The family was traveling back to Yemen after completing construction on their new home in Hajjah Governorate (northern Yemen). Jaber had been living in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for several years.

The accident also injured Jaber's nephew, Talal Mohammed Jaber, who was driving the vehicle. All four injured children and Talal Jaber are currently receiving medical care at a hospital in Wadi ad-Dawasir, and their condition is reported to be improving.

The family was returning to Yemen after completing construction on their new home, highlighting the hardships faced by many Yemenis who seek opportunities abroad to improve their lives. This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the dangers faced by those who travel long distances and the importance of road safety.
