A large-scale gathering of women from Sana'a took place in Marib City, northeastern Yemen, on Thursday, July 25, 2024, under the banner "Yemeni Women: Continuous Efforts to Support the Army and Security Forces."
The event, featuring speeches by female politicians from Sana'a, emphasized the unwavering support of women for their brothers in the fight to restore the Republic.
The participants extended their gratitude to "Marib, the city of civilization and pride, its honorable sheikhs and dignitaries, and all its sons... for their sincere and loyal support, generous assistance, and unwavering backing of the heroes of the army and the popular resistance. Their strong cooperation with security forces has shattered all conspiracies and thwarted all schemes."
The event called on the internationally recognized Yemeni government to "implement immediate and genuine solutions to halt the deterioration of the national economy, alleviate the suffering of citizens, provide essential needs, pay salaries for the army and security forces, and unify salary disbursement standards."
The rally urged the government to "fulfill its obligations in treating the wounded of the national army, security forces, and resistance, address the issue of detainees, prisoners, and those forcibly disappeared in Houthi prisons, and actively pursue their release, starting with the prominent activist, Mr. Mohammed Qahtan."
The participants urged Yemenis to "unify their efforts, close ranks in the face of the primary enemy of this people, the Iranian-backed Houthis, and postpone all side issues and disputes."
The event highlighted the sacrifices made by women in Sana'a Governorate, who "remain steadfast in supporting the heroes of the national army in the battle for liberation from the coupist militias."
The rally featured various artistic performances that showcased the role of women in the struggle against the Houthi group, designated as a terrorist organization by the international community, and their support for the restoration and activation of state institutions.
The event reaffirmed the unwavering stance of Yemenis in support of the Palestinian cause, expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza and urging international bodies, organizations, and freedom-loving individuals worldwide to prevent the criminal practices of the occupying Zionist entity against the Palestinian people.
Marib City has witnessed a series of public events organized by residents of governorates under Houthi control, expressing popular support for the armed forces and security agencies in the battle to restore the Yemeni state.
