Houthi militants, designated as a terrorist group by several countries, stormed a village in Dhamar governorate (central Yemen) with a force of 20 military vehicles, abducting dozens of residents, including children and the elderly. The attack follows two days of siege on the village.
Local sources told Barran Press that the Houthi forces abducted residents of "Al-Zur" village in Makhlaf district, in Al-Hudaydah directorate.
The sources reported that the Houthi forces had besieged the village for two days, demanding the surrender of individuals they were seeking. This led to clashes between Houthi fighters and villagers, resulting in casualties on both sides.
The sources added that the Houthis reinforced their forces with another contingent, stormed the village, raided homes, looted property, and terrorized children and women.
