A young man drowned in flash flood runoff in the Habban district of Shabwah province, eastern Yemen, on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024, according to local sources.

Sources told "Barran Press" that the victim, identified as Younis Mohammed al-Qamishi, drowned in a pool of floodwater at the foot of Mount al-Hamm al-Sawda in the Huda area of the Habban district.

Local residents reportedly struggled for hours to recover the young man's body due to the depth of the water and the presence of large rocks in the pool. "Bran Press" obtained a video showing the moment residents finally retrieved the body.
