 Yemeni President Rashad al-Alimi on Thursday praised the commendable stance and generous humanitarian and development interventions of Kuwait.

The remarks came during a meeting in Aden, the temporary capital of Yemen, with the head of Kuwait's Elaf Charity Society, Saud Ali Al-Hajri, and his accompanying delegation, according to the official Yemeni news agency Saba.

According to the agency, Al-Alimi received a briefing from the delegation, currently visiting Yemen to determine priorities for humanitarian support and urgent interventions, on the results of their visits to several governorates and the facilities required to implement the society's projects, starting with the establishment of a permanent Elaf office in Aden.

In his speech, Al-Alimi highlighted the role of Elaf and other Kuwaiti funding societies, institutions, and charitable bodies in Yemen, noting their contributions to the rehabilitation of services in the country.
