A tribal leader was shot and killed in front of his home in Lahj province, southern Yemen, on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, by unidentified gunmen, local sources reported.

Sources told "Barran Press" that two armed men on a motorcycle killed Sheikh Ali Hussein Al-Dawoudi in front of his home in the "Al-Hud" district of Lahj.

The sources explained that the two assailants arrived at Sheikh Al-Dawoudi's home, a prominent tribal figure in Yafa'a, and called him out. Upon his exit, they opened fire, killing him instantly. The assailants then fled the scene, their whereabouts unknown.
