Local residents reported the killing of a woman by Houthi militants in the Arhab district of Sana'a governorate (central Yemen) on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.

According to residents speaking to "Barran Press," the woman, a member of the "Al Sharran" family, was killed by gunfire from a Houthi militia force besieging the village of "Al Rakiyah" in northern Arhab.

The residents stated that a dispute arose between a Houthi leader and the villagers of Al Rakiyah, prompting the leader to call in a military force to support him against the villagers.

The force surrounded the village and, according to the residents, opened fire indiscriminately on homes with medium-caliber weapons, resulting in the death of the woman from the Al Sharran family. The situation remains tense as of this report.
