Marib, Yemen - Two Yemeni soldiers were killed in an ambush by unidentified gunmen on Thursday, September 5, 2024, on a desert road in Marib Governorate (northeastern Yemen).

"Barran Press" correspondent reported that the soldiers, belonging to the 107th Brigade, were killed while providing security on the desert road connecting Harib and Sa'fer in eastern Marib.

The correspondent confirmed that the assailants attacked the vehicle the soldiers were traveling in south-east of Sa'fer with a barrage of gunfire, resulting in the deaths of the two soldiers and the burning of the vehicle. The attackers then fled to an unknown location.
