Ahmed bin Mubarak discusses achieving economic stability in Doha, Qatar pledges to enhance partnership

 Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak met with Qatari officials on Sunday, September 8th, 2024, to discuss Qatar's potential role in supporting Yemen's efforts to achieve economic stability.

During a bilateral meeting with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, bin Mubarak highlighted the current situation in Yemen and outlined the government's plans to address various challenges and implement reforms aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and combating corruption.

Bin Mubarak also briefed his counterpart on peace efforts, the roadmap for peace, developments in the Red Sea, and the distorted narratives linking the Houthis' escalation and piracy against commercial ships to the situation in Gaza.

The Yemeni Prime Minister emphasized the strong relationship between Yemen and Qatar, expressing mutual interest in fostering further development and establishing investment partnerships in promising sectors, benefiting both countries.

He acknowledged Qatar's consistent support for the Yemeni people and government, particularly their swift response in providing aid to those affected by recent heavy rains in several Yemeni governorates.

Bin Mubarak arrived in Doha on Sunday morning for an official visit to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, national developments, and regional and international efforts to establish peace. He is also scheduled to participate in a high-level event celebrating the International Day to Protect Education from Attack on September 9th.

Qatari Prime Minister Al Thani reiterated his country's unwavering support for Yemen and its people, expressing Qatar's commitment to expanding partnerships with the Yemeni government.
