On September 9, 2024, the Yemeni Islah Party issued a message to its members and supporters, emphasizing the need to work diligently to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the Yemeni people for lasting peace within a state that prioritizes the will of the people.

This announcement was made in a post by the party's official spokesperson and Deputy Head of the Media Department, Adnan Odainy, on the platform X, monitored by "Barran Press", coinciding with the upcoming 34th anniversary of the party's founding, which falls on Friday.

Al-Adaini stated, "We commemorate the 34th anniversary of the establishment of the Yemeni Islah Party, celebrating a long history of struggle in a nation rich in its essence, aimed at building a state that reflects its profound values."

He continued, "Throughout our journey, which emerged from the depths of Yemen, we have served a people united by the principles of self-sovereignty."

He highlighted that the Islah Party has experienced a rich history of achievements and challenges, playing a central role in Yemen's political landscape. The party has sought to strengthen the republic and ensure that rights are accessible to all citizens amid ongoing challenges.

Al-Adaini remarked, "We have faced these challenges with a steadfast refusal to succumb to rebellion while welcoming partnerships based on republican cooperation. We strive to free ourselves from the shackles of the past and work towards a bright future where our aspirations for freedom, justice, and equality are realized within a republican framework that honors the legacy of the glorious September revolution and its noble goals."

Founded on September 13, 1990, following the unification of Yemen and the declaration of political pluralism, the Islah Party is the second-largest national party in Yemen.

For over three decades, Islah has played a pivotal role in political life, both in government and opposition and has been one of the foremost national entities rejecting the Houthi coup in late September 2014, publicly supporting the internationally recognized Yemeni government.
