On September 26, 2024, Ahmed bin Mubarak, the internationally recognized Prime Minister of Yemen, laid the foundation for several significant projects at the Marib Air and Air Defense College in northeastern Yemen. These projects include a college hospital, a language and computer training institute, a sports city, and an indoor arena.

During his visit to the college, bin Mubarak emphasized the government’s commitment to providing necessary support to enhance the capabilities of military personnel, particularly in specialized fields, as reported by the official Saba news agency.

Upon his arrival, accompanied by the Chief of General Staff, Major General Sagheer bin Aziz, bin Mubarak reviewed the honor guard that had assembled to greet him, following the national anthem.

In a ceremony organized by the college leadership to celebrate his visit, bin Mubarak congratulated attendees on the occasion of Yemen’s revolutionary commemorations—September 26, October 14, and November 30. He joined the students in chanting the slogan, "With spirit and blood, we sacrifice for you, Yemen," reflecting a deep commitment to the nation and its achievements in freedom, dignity, and justice.

Highlighting the importance of celebrating the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution in Marib, he referred to the region as “the fortress of the republic and a city of resilience, sacrifice, and dedication.” He noted Marib's pivotal role in resisting the Houthi militia’s oppressive agenda and the broader Iranian influence in Yemen.

“Our struggle is a defense of republican values against a terrorist group that defies national consensus and the revolutionary ideals for which our ancestors fought, seeking to eliminate class disparities and achieve justice, equality, and freedom,” he stated.

Bin Mubarak praised the academic efficiency at the Air and Air Defense College, commending the diverse student body representing all regions of Yemen. “I see in you, through your specialized training and efforts in the training fields, that victory is coming. The sectarian, oppressive agenda has no place in our homeland and is rejected by the people and society,” he asserted.

The Director of the Air and Air Defense College welcomed the Prime Minister, expressing gratitude for his visit and its positive impact on the morale of college personnel. He outlined the college's establishment phases and its commitment to training students from various provinces, alongside plans for improving administrative and operational performance.

Accompanying bin Mubarak were several ministers, including those of Information, Finance, Interior, Water and Environment, Industry and Trade, and Electricity and Energy, as well as the Director of the Prime Minister’s Office, Anis Baharitha, and other senior officials.
