Military Parade and Public Celebrations Mark September and October Revolution Anniversaries in Hadramout

On Thursday, September 26, 2024, the First Military Region organized a vibrant military and sports carnival in Hadramout, eastern Yemen, to commemorate the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution and the 61st anniversary of the October 14 Revolution.

During the celebrations, Abdulhadi Al-Tamimi, Assistant Governor of Hadramout for the Valley and Desert, extended his congratulations to all citizens and members of the armed forces on this significant national occasion, as reported by the official Saba News Agency.

Al-Tamimi stated, "The September Revolution erupted to liberate us from slavery and backwardness; it is the mother of all glorious revolutions, written by the citizens of this nation from east to west. We are committed to achieving the goals of September and October."

In his remarks, Major General Amer bin Hatiyan, Chief of Staff of the First Military Region, emphasized, "The sacrifices made by the heroes of the armed forces, security, and popular resistance across our beloved homeland serve as clear evidence that our people and armed forces will not compromise or relent in their efforts against tyranny."

The city of Sayoun witnessed a large-scale celebration marking the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, a pivotal moment in Yemen's history.

Festivities included car and motorcycle parades that filled the streets, with vehicles adorned in national flags and slogans celebrating the September Revolution, which embodies the aspirations of Yemenis for freedom and independence.

Participants chanted slogans affirming the importance of upholding the principles and goals of the revolution in building a fair democratic state. They expressed pride in the achievements of the revolution over the past decades.

Celebrants affirmed that the spirit of September 26 remains alive in the hearts of Yemenis, calling for continued efforts toward comprehensive development, security, and stability throughout the country.

Yemenis are commemorating the 62nd anniversary of the September 26 Revolution, which ended the rule of the Imamate monarchy and established the republic, known for its oppressive regime that left Yemen isolated and underdeveloped.
