The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasted on Friday that varying intensities of thunderstorms are expected across multiple regions in ten Yemeni governorates within the next 24 hours.

In its daily bulletin, reviewed by Barran Press, the center indicated that weather conditions are likely to be clear to partly cloudy in the mountainous areas, with cooler temperatures expected during late night and early morning hours. Thunderstorms of varying intensity are anticipated in parts of Lahij, Taiz, Ibb, Rayma, the highlands and plains of Tihama, as well as western Al-Mahwit and western Hajjah. Scattered rainfall is also expected in parts of the highlands of Abyan and Shabwa.

For coastal areas, the forecast suggests partly cloudy conditions with intermittent rain and occasional thunderstorms on parts of the western coasts and the Socotra Archipelago. Moderate to brisk winds are anticipated around the Socotra Archipelago, ranging between 10 to 20 knots.

The National Center also reported that partly cloudy to clear conditions are expected in desert areas, with moderate winds stirring up dust and debris.
