On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, military sources reported significant human and material losses among the Houthi group, which is internationally designated as a terrorist organization, in the Al-Barh area of Taiz Governorate in southwestern Yemen.

According to the official Yemeni army website, "September Net," joint forces stationed in the Al-Barh axis successfully repelled an attack by Houthi militants on their positions in the Kadhah sector, inflicting heavy casualties on the attackers.

The sources indicated that "army units at the front lines responded to the Houthi assault with medium and heavy weaponry," managing to inflict losses on the Houthis and silence their fire sources.

Additionally, the army's artillery intensified the damage to Houthi forces with targeted strikes on locations used by the group in attempts to target military sites of the joint forces.

Earlier today, joint forces also thwarted another infiltration attempt by the Houthis in the same sector, as sporadic clashes continue across various fronts in Taiz Governorate due to the Houthis' attempts to breach Yemeni army positions.
