Yemenia Airlines announced on November 3, 2024, the return of an Airbus A320 to its fleet after a two-month hiatus due to a technical malfunction in one of its engines.
In a statement reviewed by "Barran Press," the airline credited the successful return of the aircraft to the efforts of the Ministry of Transport and the direct oversight of Yemenia’s leadership.
The airline noted that challenges in sourcing spare parts, particularly for the engines, significantly delayed the aircraft's return to service, primarily due to high insurance costs for shipments to Aden.
Yemenia Airlines expressed optimism that the reintroduction of this aircraft would stabilize the company’s operations and enhance its ability to meet transportation demands, thereby alleviating pressure on air travel in the liberated provinces.
