On November 3, 2024, Abdu Rabbu Miftah, the Deputy Governor of Marib, inaugurated six additional classrooms at the martyr Al-Shadadi School located in the Al-Jufayna camp for internally displaced persons.
The project, supported by the MyCare Foundation and Malaysian series "I-CutSafe," and implemented by the Human Access Organization, aims to alleviate the severe overcrowding of students in the school, enhancing its capacity to accommodate more learners.
According to the official Yemen News Agency Saba, Miftah praised the humanitarian interventions by the Human Access Organization across various sectors, particularly in education. He noted that a shortage of classrooms and teaching staff, along with overcrowding, poses significant challenges to the educational process in the district.
He emphasized the need for sustainable interventions to address the educational sector's infrastructure needs, such as classrooms and facilities, to enable schools to accommodate the large number of displaced students.
Additionally, Mohamed bin Jalal, the Director General of Marib City, along with the Director of Education in the district, Mohamed Marsh, inspected the ongoing construction of an additional hangar at Balqees Secondary School for Girls and the renovation works at the Al-Mithaq Basic Secondary Model School for Boys.
