On November 15, 2024, the Supreme Council of the National Coalition of Political Parties and Components in Yemen emphasized the urgent need to halt the deteriorating living conditions of citizens by implementing immediate measures to stabilize the currency and increase state revenues.

This statement came during the council's third meeting, held from November 11 to 14, and chaired by Dr. Ahmed Obaid Bin Daghr, as reported on his X platform account.

According to the statement, the council discussed the dire situation facing the Yemeni people due to the Houthi-led aggression, which has exacerbated living conditions and deteriorated the national economy.

The coalition stressed the importance of resuming oil exports, which have been halted due to Houthi terrorist attacks on export ports. They highlighted that stabilizing the currency and enhancing resources are essential for improving citizens' lives.

The council called on both central and local authorities to mobilize national efforts to confront the Iranian-backed Houthi rebellion and to reject the terrorist activities being carried out by the Houthis in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and Gulf of Aden, which threaten international maritime security.

Regarding the internal organization of the coalition, the council discussed steps to complete its establishment, emphasizing the need to implement measures for active operations on the ground.

It was agreed to appoint Dr. Abdullah Oubal, Secretary-General of the Yemeni Union Gathering, as the head of the executive authority, with the council planning to continue its meetings to finalize necessary arrangements.

On November 5, 2024, the National Coalition of Political Parties opposing the internationally designated terrorist Houthi group was officially launched in Aden, Yemen's temporary capital, under the leadership of Dr. Ahmed Bin Daghr.

While the Southern Transitional Council and its supporters opposed this announcement, it was welcomed by the recognized Yemeni government and other supporting political components, garnering significant backing on social media from politicians, writers, and activists.
