On November 17, 2024, the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Al-Jaber, commended the Yemeni Heritage Symphonies concert, which recently began at the King Fahd Cultural Center in Riyadh.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Al-Jaber remarked, “Yemeni art and heritage resonate with creativity in Riyadh,” highlighting the deep historical and cultural ties that bind Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
The concert featured the Yemeni orchestra, led by Maestro Mohamed al-Qahoum, along with performances from renowned artists Arwa and Hussein Mohib, as well as several other Yemeni and Saudi musicians.
Over 104 musicians from Yemen and Saudi Arabia participated, presenting a variety of musical styles that represent Yemen’s rich cultural heritage, with additional contributions from artists from Egypt, Tunisia, Kuwait, Syria, Lebanon, the UAE, Bahrain, France, Armenia, and Belarus.
The event, hosted by the Saudi Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Yemeni Ministry of Information, Culture, and Tourism, was marked by significant official and public attendance.
