On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, the National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning announced predictions of cold weather in five Yemeni provinces over the coming hours.
In its daily report, seen by Barran Press, the center indicated that cold conditions are expected in the mountainous areas during the night and early morning in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, and Al-Bayda, with minimum temperatures ranging from 3 to 7 degrees Celsius.
The forecast also includes relatively cold weather in other mountainous regions, where minimum temperatures are expected to range from 8 to 13 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of scattered rain clouds and fog or mist in parts of Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, and Raymah during the afternoon and evening.
Along the coastal areas, the center anticipates generally clear to partly cloudy skies, with moderate to brisk winds along the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
In desert regions, clear weather is expected, becoming relatively cool at night and in the early morning, with moderate winds stirring up dust and sand during the day.
The National Center for Meteorology has warned residents to be cautious of the cold weather in mountainous areas and has urged citizens, especially children, school students, the elderly, and outdoor workers, to take necessary precautions during the night and early morning hours.
